So far this year I have made a few different baskets. I like to experiment with different techniques and materials. 'Pine needles' is very formal and traditional but I played around with the shape giving it a bit of a rolled top, with one side higher than the other.

'Landscape' was very much an experiment. I loosely wove together some cane and paper over a mould with pieces of bark in between. I then dipped it in paper pulp and spray painted it. Layers of paint and some varnish was brushed on and stitching in black thread was added at the end.
